It began as a shadow, a private commission for a patron across the seas, but this is the unedited manuscript. This is the architecture of winter captured in glass. It opens with the sensation of cold air hitting warm skin—a dusty, spicy friction where crushed Black and Pink Pepper collide with the sharp, resinous chill of Pine Needle and the citric snap of Bergamot. It feels alive, textured, and immediately atmospheric, like stepping into a library frozen in time.

The composition is built like an ancient, living thing: imagine a dark, resinous tree wrapped tightly around a massive, vibrating core of Patchouli. That central pillar holds the structure together, grounding the wildness inside. And there is wildness here. For the first time, I’ve used Indian Truffle—the Rugda—sitting right in the middle as a sophisticated, umami pulse. It’s paired with Black Mushroom Absolute for a savory, almost saline depth that feels pulled straight from the damp forest floor. To keep that darkness from consuming you, I’ve buried a heart of Rose, Jasmine, and Geranium deep within the wood, spiced gently with Clove so they glow with a low, embers-like heat rather than a bright bloom.

The dry down is where the beast lives. I’ve built a foundation on smoky Agarwood and Guaiacwood, but if you spray heavy, the Civet, Castoreum, and Deer Musk Accord take over, prowling around the skin with a raw, magnetic pull. To tame them just enough, I’ve poured in a rich, sticky blend of Myrrh, Olibanum, Styrax, and thick Peru and Tolu Balsams. It leaves a sweet, resinous warmth that clings to you like a second skin, a memory of smoke and gold. There are only twenty-six bottles of this limited edition existence; once they are claimed, the vessel is empty forever.
