SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY

1. Classification & Hazardous Goods Compliance

All alcohol-based perfumes contain ethanol and are legally classified as Dangerous Goods (DG) / Flammable Liquids (Class 3) under national and international transport safety regulations.

  • Specialized Handling: Orders containing liquid alcohol-based fragrances require leak-proof inner packaging, shock-absorbent cushioning, and regulatory hazardous materials outer labeling.
  • Attars (Concentrated Perfume Oils): Non-alcoholic, oil-based attars are packaged under standard liquid transit security measures.

2. Domestic Shipping Policy (India)

Domestic orders within India placed on Perfume Bay are processed and dispatched via Shiprocket and its network of domestic courier partners.

2 to 4 business days prior to dispatch for packaging verification and DG packing.

Transit Mode

Primarily Surface Express due to airline restrictions on liquid alcohol transport.

Estimated Transit Time

Metro cities: 3 to 6 business days. Non-metro / Remote regions: 5 to 10 business days.

Order Tracking

Automated or manual tracking details generated via Shiprocket will be updated on your account/order page and sent via email/SMS.

Non-Delivery / RTO

If a domestic delivery fails due to an incorrect address, phone unreachability, or recipient refusal, the shipment returns to our warehouse (RTO). Reshipping charges must be borne by the customer before re-dispatch.


3. International Shipping Policy

International shipments placed on Perfume Bay are processed through FedEx, DHL, or India Post.

  • Manual System Updates: International shipping operations are not automated at checkout. Tracking numbers will be manually uploaded to your Order Details page or communicated via email once generated by the carrier manifest.
  • Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU): All international orders are fulfilled on a Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis.
    • You (the recipient) are solely responsible for paying all import duties, tariffs, local Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods & Services Tax (GST), customs brokerage fees, and administrative clearance fees levied by your country’s customs authority.
    • Customs Clearance Delays & Abandonment: Wajood Perfumes LLP holds no liability for delays caused by foreign customs authorities. If you refuse to pay local duties or fail to submit requested identification documents to customs resulting in package seizure, destruction, or Return to Sender (RTS), no replacement or monetary adjustment will be provided.
